Hollywood Gets a Clue After getting the kind of public drubbing that Snakes on a Plane has, you could imagine a producer deciding that the safest option was to send it directly to video. But in this case, the producers listened closely enough to hear the affection underneath the raspberries. Congress Still Has No Clue The Deleting Online Predators Act, now being considered by Congress, would require schools and libraries that receive federal aid ‘to protect minors from commercial social networking Web sites and chat rooms.’ The legislation assumes that nothing positive can be gained through the socializing that occurs on these sites. But most major technology companies are moving in this direction, using social software features to help users find information, get recommendations, and share ideas.
