I would like to mix control of bipolar motors for the XYZ axis with control of some small 6 wire unipolar motors using the smoothieboard A and B axes. I wish to use motors form here: digikey.com /en/product-highlight/p/portescap/20dam-series-digital-linear-actuators. I would prefer to use the bipolar versions of these motors but they are not readily available for some reason. So, is it possible to use these motors by ignoring the center tap of the coils or is this not a workable approach?

6 wire unipolar motors

Some steppers are capable of doing both unipolar or bipolar depending on how they are wired. You probably need to find the datasheet for the motors, or contact the seller.
I tried to include the link to the motors but I was rejected (too low status). Have modified post to defeat my low status. The motors are from digikey.
Datasheet shows you can wire it as bipolar it seems.
