The LeapFrog Didj is a handheld console made by LeapFrog Enterprises. The Didj was priced at $89.99 when it debuted on August 22, 2008. The console has multiple games available for the system, which mostly consists of educational software aimed for children based on licensed properties such as from Disney, Nickelodeon and Marvel.
The Didj has also attracted the attention of hackers[1] as it runs on a customised Linux distribution, and due to its relatively low price (compared to more expensive systems such as the Nintendo DS), as well as its OpenGL capabilities.[2]
Several homebrew applications as well as demos have been written for the device, including a port of the gpSP emulator.[3]
